What Should I Expect?
As an "on location" studio, S.J. Brown Photography works mostly with natural light in the environment of your choice. This means that your portraits will be unique and personal, reflecting your personality in a way that no stock studio portrait ever could.
Portrait Sessions (Babies, Children, Families, Seniors, Engagement, etc.)
Weddings
1 year-3 months before the wedding
Engagement Photos: Engagement photos offer you a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera and many couples like to use them in their save the date announcements and signing books at the wedding. If you plan to use your engagement photos in this way please make sure to book this session far enough in advance to allow time for your announcements to be designed and delivered!
One month before the wedding
Sit down face to face with Sarah to discus the details of your day. This is a good time for us to talk in depth about your expectations of the day. By now most of your guests will have responded so we will be able to make sure we don't leave anyone out of the important photos and create a plan together to make sure the day runs smoothly and on time. I will also confirm important details such as date, time, and venue at this meeting! I encourage you to bring along several "tear out/pin board" photos (such as from a magazine or online) that you love as well as a few that you hate so that I can get a feel for your style and your likes and dislikes. The final payment will be due at this time.
